We almost lost this love of our lives when he went in to be neutered (at five months old). His heart stopped for a full sixty seconds, as they frantically performed CPR on him. When he woke up he was blind and paralyzed from the neck down. He was so distraught we nearly had him put to sleep, but I called UC Davis, and bless that doctor who took the time to console me. He advised me to be patient and look for any signs of improvement in the next two to three weeks. Long story short, he regained his strength (we had to teach him how to walk again - like a stroke victim) and he eventually regained 100% of his vision. He is completely back to his happy, silly self! (He's five years old now.) Can you imagine how much we spoil him now? ha!
